Snips and snails and puppy dog tails..........

Well it looks like we will be saying farewell to all things baby girl. Rylie is going to be having a little brother. Keith and I were a little surprised well maybe a lot! With 6 girls and 1 boy in both of our family we just thought it would be a given choice. At first I was sad about Rylie not having a sister or not having another princess to dress up. I think it got a little worse when I thought of not being able to see this baby in Rylie's clothes and baby things. I was even surprised it took some time for Keith to adjust. Of course after only a few days we are overwhelmed with excitement. We are constantly talking and making plans for our son. Even after a week it still feels strange to say son. The next four months will be very busy at our house. We have to finish the playroom, move Rylie to her big girl room (which hasn't even been started), and fix a room fit for a baby boy! I see many more post over the next few months! That is if I don't get too busy and forget!

He had his hands by his face. Both hands in fist.

Its a BOY!

Why God Made Little Boys
God made the world out of His dreams Of magic mountains,
oceans and streams, Prairies and plans and wooded land,
Then paused and thought “I need someone to stand On top of mountains,
to conquer the seas,
Explore the plains and climb the trees.
Someone to start out small and to grow, Sturdy, strong as a tree…”
And so, He created boys, full of spirit and fun,
To explore and conquer, to romp and run.
With dirty faces and banged up chins,
With courageous hearts and boyish grins.
When He had completed the task He’d begun He surely said
“A job well done”.

Speaking as a person who has a brother, I think Rylie will really enjoy him! At least she will be older and can boss him around... even though I tried to boss Keith, it didn't work out that way since he was bigger and older. I'm so excited for you- you will have a totally different relationship with a son than a daughter and it will be so cool to see that transpire!!!

I agree with everything Erica just said. As much fun as little girls are, when that boy is 13 he will still love you!

Cant wait to see you tomorrow in my blue scrubs! :)

Congrats on your little boy! I also wanted to thank you for all you help when Walker was born. You really made things alot easier. Sometimes as a nurse we like to think we already know it all, but you gave me great advice and support with Walker. (which by the way, I did not already know. I was clueless after the first hour haha) I can't ever thank you enough.
