I recently realized that I haven't posted much about Ethan what is going on with him. Besides pictures and few words here and there that's been about it! So this post is just for him! Last week he turned two months and got his first shots. Rylie went with us so she could hold his hand when the painful time came. He did really good and calmed down pretty fast. but later that day i think it really hit him. His legs were sore and he was fussy. His poor legs had a small bruise and red at the injection site. Even with the Tyneol he still had trouble getting comfortable. By the next day he was feeling much better. At this visit of course they checked his weight. He weighed 10lbs 9oz, 22 3/4 in length and is in the 25% of his age. At first I was concerned with the percent number but as Dr. Charles explained look at where he came from which was at 10% at birth at 37 weeks. So he has gained a little over 4lbs in 2 months. Yea, I think he will be just fine! :) He is definitely get chunky and I love it! Probably the only time I will like a double chin! He loves interaction with anyone who will give him attention! One of my favorite things is that he knows me! I know that sounds strange but I don't remember Rylie being captivating (for lack of a better word) with me! He knows my voice and will turn to look until he finds me. I didn't pay it much attention until my family kept pointing it out and Keith has on a few occasions! :) I am sure some of that can be contributed to the fact he knows I am his food source! He has this very distinctive fuss or groaning that he will do that is adorable! Yes I said adorable when it comes to fussing! Once you start talking to him he is all smiles! He has recently been sleeping through the night! Hallelujah!!! I will usually feed him around 9:00 and he usually sleeps til around 6:00 or 6:30! Here is a sweet picture of him this morning watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse durng his tummy time!

It's three am, they're all asleep, and no one is here to see.
As we rock slowly back and forth, my baby boy and me.
His little hand is feather light tucked up against my chin.
I hold his tiny hand in mine, and stroke his baby skin.
The house about us creaks and groans, the clock hands creep around.
He snuggles closer to me still, and makes his baby sounds.
I love these quiet hours so much, and cherish every one.
Store memories up inside my heart for lonely nights to come.
All too soon he'll be grown up, his need for Mommy gone.
But until then I still have time for kisses and for song.
Time for quiet hours like this with him cuddled in my arms.
Where I wish he'd always stay protected, safe and warm.
And yet I know the day will come when his tiny little hand,
will be bigger than my own. He'll grow to be a man.
But until then he's mine to love with no one here to see.
As we rock slowly back and forth, my baby boy and me.

That's great! I was going to text you tonight asking how Ethan was doing on his nighttime sleeping, but I knew you would be at church. And then I read this and it answered my question! Thanks for reading my mind!!! I can't wait to spend a week with all of yall!
