All the kids are in school and for the time being doing well. Ethan struggled at first but he is doing much better with drop off and in the classroom. It's a new season for us all and I am not talking about Fall. Ethan is doing Soccer, Rylie has started competitive cheer which includes continuing with her tumbling classes and Karen is in the drama club at school. It's busy with family and church but we are enjoying it because for the most part we are at least all together.
So this morning I was reading my devotion and it hit me hard. In case you don't already read Proverbs 31 devotions the link is below to check it out. I am guilty of this behavior. Always busy and always hearing mom look at this or mom come see. It really made a difference on my outlook this morning after reading it. I don't want to be that mom to miss out on those small moments. I want my days to count, every one of them. Reminded me this morning on the way to school and noticing how beautiful the sky looked so early on a fall morning. I want to truly live in these days God has given me. They might not always go as plan and there are times where tears fall and it can be so overwhelming but I know the same one who blessed me with those good days will hold me during those not so good ones. Isaiah 52:12, "Go in confidence and grace — no rushing, no frantic escape. There’s no need to be anxious — the Eternal One goes before and behind you. The God of Israel paves the way with assurance and strength. He watches your back." (The Voice)
I know some of you might want to know more details of our family and at the moment I can't share too much. I also want to respect everyone's privacy and not have it all in black and white here. Thanks for the prayers each one is appreciated!
